Sheckler News: Order your soup, hoagies by Feb. 6 for school fundraiser
Sheckler Elementary School’s Home and School Association is hosting a winter fundraiser with Island Expressions. Order forms and payment for soup and hoagies are due to the main office Feb. 6.
You can pick up your order 3:20-3:45 p.m. or 5:45-6:15 p.m. Feb. 21.
All proceeds will benefit the Home and School Association.

Catasauqua Area School District will have an early dismissal Feb 7.
Sheckler Elementary will dismiss 1:30 p.m.

There is a Home and School meeting scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Feb. 8 at Sheckler.

CASD Board of Education will meet 7 p.m. Feb. 13 in the board room at 201 N. 14th St.

CASD will be closed Feb. 16-19 for the Presidents Day holiday. Enjoy the long weekend!

CASD is looking for a varsity football head coach. Interested candidates can send a letter of interest, resume, references, clearances and FBI federal criminal history clearances to Eric Dauberman at daubermane@cattysd.org or mailed to 201 N. 14th St., Catasauqua.

Fourth-grade students have begun work on their science fair projects. All projects will be due March 13.

Catasauqua Youth Athletic Association will be hosting baseball and softball sign-ups 8-10 a.m. Feb. 3, 10 and 17 at the CYAA field house, 890 Walnut St. Pre-K through eighth-grade boys and girls are welcome.
Also, CYAA is hosting an adults-only bingo and basket raffle, set for March 2 at Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St. Doors open 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins 1 p.m.
There will be 20 games with cash prizes, special bingo games, a 50/50 raffle, a basket raffle, door prizes, concessions and a cash bar.
