Leon Charles Blackman, 93, of Emmaus, died Jan. 25, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He and his wife, Nancy J. (Afflerbach) Blackman would have celebrated 27 years of marriage Feb. 22. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harry R. and Hilda (Billig) Blackman.
He was a member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus.
He was the former owner and operator of Blackman’s Cycle Shop, Emmaus, from 1956 to 2000. He also worked at Mack Trucks for several years, retiring in 1985.
He was a past president and longtime member of the Perkiomen Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Diane Eichelberger and her husband, William; stepchildren, Debra Bernatovich and her husband, Edward, Patricia Handwerk, Jodi Schaffer and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Michele Eichelberger and Barry Eichelberger (Deb), Mark (Jennifer); stepgranddaughter, Danielle Danver (Joseph); great-grandson, Brady; stepgreat-grandsons, Travis and Ethan Danver. He was predeceased by a son, Gary L. in 1997; brothers, Larry, Ralph and Harry.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus, 18049.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 2 at Bethel Bible Fellowshiip Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
