David G. Hadinger
David George Hadinger, 66, of Salisbury Township, died Jan. 26, 2024. He married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Palmer in 1976. Born in Killeen, Texas, he was the son of the late Ernest L. Hadinger and Arlene M. Hadinger.
He graduated from Salisbury High School in 1975.
He served his country (active duty and reserves) for 40 years in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After enlisting, he served as an electrician working on submarines. After commissioning as an officer, he served as an intelligence officer and cryptologist. While serving in the reserves, he worked as an engineer and estimator with Air Products, Allentown and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Allentown College (now DeSales University). He spent the last seven years working as the office administrator for Iron Valley Real Estate of the Lehigh Valley since the office opening.
He served as a founding (and ruling) elder of Living Hope OPC Church for many years.
He is survived by his wife; children, Kimberly A. Watts (Franklin), Joshua D. (Margaret), Kristen L. Goudie (Seth), Kayleigh J. Mora (Pablo), Jeremy M. (Courtney), Kourtney A., Jacob D., Kelsey M., Kori B. Gehman (Wyatt), James A. (Tara), Kalista M.; grandchildren, Jayden, Sydney, Taylor, Dylan Watts, Levi, Isaac, Elia, Samuel and Lyanna-Mae; Delia and Ty Goudie, Brody and Asher McNeill; Mateo and Adele Mora; Santino and Hazel Cusati, June, Jethro and Violet Gehman; brothers, Ernest L. “Chip” (Lois), Gary A. (Colette); sister, Annette A. Huhn (Walter). He was predeceased by a niece, Rachael M.
His wife was everything to him and he made that known to her daily. Their greatest joy was raising their family together. Each child, and later each grandchild, was special to him and he made it known to them every day. His life and legacy are looked back on with smiles, laughter and endless joy by all who knew him.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to benefit Sherry Hadinger and the family.
The viewing service will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. The funeral service will be held at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, 1151 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Allentown, 10 a.m. Feb. 3.
