Barbara A. Jenkins, 73, of Quakertown, died Jan. 16, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at home.
She was the widow of John W. Jenkins, who died in 2015.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Harlan L. and Betty J. (Kunkel) Rump.
She last worked as a caretaker for Comfort Keepers, Quakertown, where she was recognized as Caretaker of the Year, just before she retired in 2023.
Before that, she was an independent truck driver, aka “Little Bit,” for 37 years.
Her survivors include daughters Machell D. (Glenn D.) Helbert of Allentown, Kelly J. (James) Plante of Quakertown, with whom she last resided, and Bobbie Jo (Tracy) Kahler of Dublin; son Larry G. Martis Jr. of Reading; sisters Nancy Kramer of Alburtis, LaRue (Robert) Pope of Arizona, and Donna Rump and Brenda (Dwayne) Hopkins, all of Kutztown; brothers Harlan L. (Eileen) Rump of Orwigsburg, and Andy (Patricia) Rump of Krumsville; grandchildren Samantha, Leif, Ashley, Austin, Casey and Nicolas; and great-grandchildren Aubrie, Isla, Emme, Skyla, Quintin, Harmony, Gage, Autumn and Lillie.
She was predeceased by brothers David W. Rump Sr. and John D. Rump.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help off-set her final expenses.
