Valance G. Weidner, 84, of Northampton, died Jan. 18, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Richard “Dick” C. Weidner for 62 years.
Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Alburtis and Bertha (Hoats) Moyer.
She was a 1960 graduate of Lehighton High School.
She was, in her younger years, a nurse’s aide at Palmerton Hospital.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Scott D. and wife Carla of Salisbury Township and Brian R. and wife Denise of Bath; a twin sister, Phyllis G. Zaraza and husband George of Coopersburg; four grandchildren, Derek and wife Tanya, Dillon and wife Melissa, Zachary and wife Lauren and Jenna Kunsman and husband Thomas; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Sharon Villa and husband Gerald and Lisa Buckley and husband Robert III.
She was predeceased by a sister, LaVonne Beaver; and three brothers, Milford, Melvin and Arlington Everett.
There will be a calling time 1-2 p.m., followed by a service 2 p.m., Jan. 28 at the funeral home, 46 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown.
