Richard William Anthony Sr., 84, of Salisbury Township, died Jan. 17, 2024, in his home, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie (Mulzet) Anthony, who died in 2003. Born in Allentown, he was one of eight children of the late Rudolph Anthony and Aurelia (Fiedler) Seifert.

He was a 1957 graduate of William Allen High School.

He served his country honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He was a roofer for the Local 30 Union for more than 30 years.

He attended St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman who spent many years visiting Potter County with his son. He enjoyed gardening, canning and doing anything outdoors. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.

He is survived by a daughter, Gail M. Bissey and her fiancé, James Falatko, of Salisbury Township; son, Richard William Jr., of New Tripoli; sister, Hilda Seifert, of Palmerton; granddaughters, Amanda Bissey (Alex Jacob) and Hannah; great-granddaughters, Ava and Addison. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Ann.
