Erich H. Berg, 81, died Jan. 17, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, after battling a sudden illness. He was the husband of Rena (Montagner) Berg for 59 years.

Born in Forberg, Czechoslovakia, he was a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Berg. He emigrated with his family to the United States in 1951 and grew up in Cementon.

He worked at Crest Plaza shopping center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Tina Sandt and husband Allen of Whitehall and Krista McKeon and husband Keith of Nazareth; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Julie Reith and husband Theodore; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Julius; and a sister, Elizabeth.

A viewing will be held 9:30-11 a.m., followed by a memorial service, Jan. 25 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, 18052.
