East Stroudsburg University
Students named to dean’s list
A total of 1,494 students have been named to the dean’s list at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania for the fall 2023 semester of the 2023-24 academic year, according to Margaret Ball D.M.A., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the dean’s list are those who have attained a 3.5 quality-point average or better and are enrolled full time. The letter grade B earns three quality points per credit, and the grade A earns four quality points per credit.

West Virginia University
Coughlin earns dean’s list
Katherine Coughlin, of Whitehall, has been named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University for the fall 2023 semester. Coughlin is a freshman majoring in neuroscience. This outstanding undergraduate academic achievement is recognized by awarding dean’s list status to students who obtain 3.5 grade-point average in a semester. Only the highest honor is awarded, and it will be noted on the transcript. Students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours or more of graded courses to be eligible for such recognition with no grades of I (incomplete), NR (not reported) or W (withdrawal).

York College of Pennsylvania
Gonzalez, Schweitzer graduate
President Thomas Burns offered his first York College of Pennsylvania commencement address Dec. 13, 2023, as more than 200 students received their diplomas.
Sarah Gonzalez and Emily Schweitzer, both of Northampton, each earned Bachelor of Science degrees in nursing. Schweitzer achieved summa cum laude honors.

More than 750 students were named to Alvernia University’s dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

President’s list is announced
Commonwealth University congratulates more than 775 students who were named to the fall 2023 president’s list. The list, prepared at the end of each semester, recognizes those students who have achieved academic distinction.
To qualify for the president’s list, the student must have earned a GPA of 4.0 or higher in 12 or more semester hours of letter grades. The following students are all from the Bloomsburg campus.
