The heavy rains in the Lehigh Valley on Jan. 9 and 10 caused the Jordan Creek to overflow forcing the closure of Covered Bridge Park, as most of the park was covered with floodwater.
Wehr’s Dam was almost unrecognizable as the water completely covered the structure.

Conrad Young, South Whitehall Township Public Works employee, was near the Lapp Road Covered Bridge, Jan. 10. Young was blocking an entrance to Covered Bridge park because high winds blew down the road closed barriers.
