Sign up now to take part in the Strengthening Families program for students ages 10-14 and their parents/caregivers.
The seven-week, free, evidence-based program is being offered to families in Whitehall-Coplay and Catasauqua Area school districts. It will run 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays from Jan. 23 to March 5, at Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St.
The purpose of the program is to help build stronger family connections. Families will learn more about how to protect their youth from substance abuse such as drugs and alcohol, coping skills for managing stress, ways to set boundaries and express feelings and effective communication strategies. It is a universal program that is beneficial for all families.
Family meals will be offered on some weeks.
The program is being funded by Lehigh County Department of Drugs and Alcohol and delivered by Valley Youth House.
