The next Northampton Borough Council meeting is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 18 at the municipal building, 1401 Laubach Ave. It will be also be available to watch virtually on YouTube.

There is a breakfast scheduled for 8 a.m.-noon Jan. 28 in the social hall at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 2181 Washington Ave. It is open to the public.

Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., is having a soup and sandwich fundraiser during January. The food will be prepared by Island Expressions Catering, Northampton, which offers a wide variety of soup and sandwiches.

Orders and payment will be taken through Jan. 31 at the library, and pickup is planned for 11 a.m. Feb. 15.

Bingo is held Mondays at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and games begin 7 p.m.

Northampton Borough Police Department Crime Watch meetings take place 7 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month at the fire station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive.

Northampton Borough Fire Department is looking for qualified volunteers who are at least 14 years old.

The application can be found on the borough website and should be dropped off or mailed to the fire station.

If you are unsure if firefighting is for you, stop by the fire station 6-9 p.m. Mondays for more information.

Rental inspection notices were sent to all rental property owners starting Jan. 1. All payments must be submitted to the borough by March 31.
