Lehigh Valley Therapy Dogs will join readers for Books ‘n’ Barks at Emmaus Public Library, 11 E. Main St., 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Readers may bring a book or select one from the library stacks. The event is open to children of all ages.
The Upper Milford Historical Society will host a “discovery night” 6 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township municipal center, 5671 Chestnut St., Zionsville. The Emmaus Winter Farmers Market is scheduled 10 a.m. to noon in Triangle Park, Emmaus. The winter season is every second and fourth Sunday January to April.

Author Sue Pizor Yoder, will discuss her book titled “Hear Us Out” 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kalmbach Memorial Park. The event will be held in the barn on the park campus. Yoder’s book focuses on conversations with ‘nones’ (those with ‘no’ religious affiliation) and ‘dones’ (those who are ‘done’ with institutional religion). A winter craft fair is scheduled 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Macungie Memorial Park, 50 N. Poplar St., Macungie. The event is sponsored by K4K & Fur Mama.
Feb. 10
The Friends of the Emmaus Public Library will host a bus trip to Lancaster to see author Kristin Hannah in conversation with author Adriana Trigiani. The bus will leave from Weis Markets, 1220 Chestnut St., Emmaus, 9:30 a.m. and return by approximately 5 p.m. There is a cost for tickets which will include a smorgasbord lunch and free time at Shady Maple as well as a signed hardcover copy of Hannah’s new book “The Women,” scheduled to be released in February.
Emmaus Main Street Partners hosts the Emmaus Soup Crawl Trail noon to 4 p.m. Soup enthusiasts will have the option to travel two different trails highlighting businesses around the Triangle and along Chestnut Street. East Penn Restaurant Week opens and continues through March 2. A program of the East Penn Chamber of Commerce and the Emmaus Main Street Partners, the event highlights restaurants and eateries in and around Emmaus, Alburtis and Macungie boroughs and Lower Macungie and Upper Milford townships.
March 10
Emmaus Main Street Partners and the Emmaus Historical Society host the annual Lucky Bucks Bingo fundraiser 2 to 5 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Highlights include a basket raffle and cash prizes. There is a cost for tickets. Tickets are available at Emmaus Jewel Shop and David’s Electric and online at the website lehighvalleychamber.org.
May 11
The Seed Farm will host its annual spring plant sale at the farm, 5854 Vera Cruz Road, Emmaus. Also May 12. The sale features a wide variety of plants, including vegetable, herb and flower plants grown at the farm. All plants are grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
