The Parkland High School girls wrestling team competed in the Governor Mifflin Girls Holiday Tournament last week.
Lily Snook had an undefeated day ,going 3-0 at the 100-pound weight class in the round robin event. Sylvyn Parham also went unbeaten at 112, going 4-0 on the day. Emerson Slaughenhoupt only competed in two matches at 136, winning them both. Lizkarla Grullon Vasquez won all three of her matches at 148 via the pin. Kelsey Gelb and Shannon Fratus were other members of the unbeatens as Gelb won four straight matches at 155 and Fratus went 4-0 at 170.
Parkland opened the new year with a road dual match back in conference action at Pocono Mountain East this past Wednesday night and will host the Winter Duals at Parkland High School this Sunday, featuring five other teams, including Bethlehem Catholic, Easton, Exeter, Honesdale and Palisades.
