Kathryn C. Lounsbury, 80, of New Tripoli, died Jan. 6, 2024, in her home.
She and her husband, Ralph E. Lounsbury, celebrated 48 years of marriage on June 28, 2023.
Born in Easton, she was one of 13 children of the late Adam L. and Anna Mary (Flynn) Schaible.
She retired in 2005 from New Tripoli Bank.
Formerly, she worked for Hess’s Department Store.
She was a member of New Bethel Church, Kempton, where she served on the council, taught VBS, and was a Sunday School treasurer.
She was an EMT volunteer with the former Northwestern Ambulance Corps and volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Beata F. Wirth and husband, John of Whitehall; grandson Daniel J. Wirth and wife, Madelyn, of Florida; grandson-in-law Mark Kleibscheidel of Allentown; great-grandchildren Theresa, Jonathon and Jameson Kleibscheidel, and Jack Wirth; sister Anna Smith, and brother Bernard Schaible.
She was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter Elizabeth (Wirth) Kleibscheidel.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton.
