Irene M. Kressley, 87, formerly of Highland Estates, died Dec. 30, 2023, in Willowbrook Nursing Home, Kutztown.

She was the widow of William A. Kressley.

Born in Upper Macungie Township, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Flicker) Moser.

A baker and prep cook at the former Shankweiler’s Hotel and the Starlight diner for many years, she was a member of Ziegels Lutheran Church, Breinigsville.

Her survivors include children Anna M. Green (Derek) of New Tripoli, Diane F. Hemerly, (James) of New Tripoli, Ellen A. Kressley of Germansville, and William A. Kressley of Lenhartsville; sister Ellen Miller of Schnecksville, and Faye Ketz of Salisbury Township; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son Wayne Kressley and siblings Arthur and Paul Moser, and Beatrice Fegley.

Her memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Jan. 13 at Ziegels Lutheran Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville, with a visitation 10-11 a.m. Interment will be private in the church cemetery.
