Charles B. Gadwell Jr., 75, of Whitehall, died Dec. 29, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Margaret A. (Caleca) Gadwell for 21 years.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Charles B. Sr. and Anna (Jankowich) Gadwell.
He was in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. He was later in the U.S. Army.
He was a U.S. Postal worker for 34 years until he retired in 2008.
He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Orefield.
He was an honorary member of First Defenders, Allentown chapter, and a member of Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Allentown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Christina Ann Bobinis with Joseph and Stephanie T. Paulus, all of Pen Argyl, and Tiffany M. Patterson with Scott of Saylorsburg; two sisters, Charlotte Kocian of Allentown and Michele Kleckner of Dayton, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister, Marcia Susslin.
