Catasauqua: Catty Legion to hold breakfast

Catasauqua American Legion Post 215, 330 Second St., is planning to hold its next breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Jan. 14.

These breakfasts are now being held the second Sunday of the month and will no longer be an all-you-can-eat breakfast. Come out for all your favorites you can order right off the menu.

The Morning Glories of Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church will hold its first meeting of the new year 10 a.m. Jan. 15 at the church, 604 Fourth St.

This will be a planning meeting, so please bring suggestions for speakers. Donations are to be decided.

Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua, 210 Pine St., will be offering its monthly free community lunch 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 15. Come on out for some great food and camaraderie with fellow Catasauqua residents.

The Friends of Catasauqua Parks will next meet 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at borough hall, 90 Bridge St. The group meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month.

The mission of the group is to improve the quality of life of Catasauqua residents through recreational fundraising events to sustain our parks.

The group is always looking for new volunteers and members. There is no cost or dues to pay to join this group.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church is sponsoring a meatloaf dinner Jan. 27 at the church. Seatings are set for 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The menu includes meatloaf with gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, roll with butter and dessert bar.

Tickets must be reserved. The reservation deadline is Jan. 21.

For reservations, call Brenda at 484-634-6484. The cost is by donation. Proceeds will benefit Bethlehem Emergency Sheltering.
