East Allen Township will hold another Christmas tree pickup Jan. 15. Trees must be placed curbside before 7 a.m.

Trees must be bare, which means free of lights, plastic bags, ornaments, stand, tinsel, etc. Place trees along the edge of your lawn. Do not put your tree out with regular garbage.

Lappawinzo Fish and Game Association, 25 Lappawinzo Road, Allen Township, will hold its next monthly breakfast 8-11 a.m. Jan. 21. It is open to the public.

Walk This Way to Better Health, sponsored by East Allen Township Parks and Recreation and American Heart Association, will hold walks 9-10 a.m. Mondays-Fridays at Bicentennial Park West, 5351 Park West Lane.

This is for all levels of walkers, including beginners, mall walkers, seniors, singles or couples, co-workers, neighborhood newcomers and people with certain conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes.

Governor Wolf Historical Society, 6600 Jacksonville Road, East Allen Township, is planning to hold its 15th annual antiques show, set for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 2 and again 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 3. The show will feature more than 25 antiques dealers.

If you are 16 or older, visit and learn about the role of the East Allen Volunteer Fire Department, 5354 Nor-Bath Blvd.

If you decide to join, the department will provide orientation, training, personal protective equipment, radio pager, etc. You will have unique opportunities to see things the average person only sees on the news and to help your community in a unique way.

If you are interested in helping but don’t want to fight fire, there are opportunities such as fire police, administrative or auxiliary member.

East Allen Township Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for its summer camp counselor positions. Counselors must be 16 years of age or older.

Camp is scheduled for June 17-Aug. 2.
