William “Bill” T. Barnett, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 31, 2023. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Timothy and Emily (Mullen) Barnett.
He was completed an accounting/finance program and was a graduate of the former Bethlehem Business School.
He was a World War II veteran and he was for three years a U.S. Naval Armed Guard gunner’s mate aboard merchant ships.
He was an auditor/accountant for the Philadelphia, Bethlehem and New England Railroad (PB&NE), a subsidiary of the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, from which he retired in 1983 after 33 years of service.
He was a member of the Lehigh Boosters and Bethlehem M.O.R.A. Clubs and the Goodfellows.
He is survived by a son, Michael and life partner of Theodore Hallman of Lederach; and a brother, Ronald Barnett and his wife Marcella of Sun City, Arizona.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Charles Barnett; and three sisters, Millicent McIntyre, Dorothy Gross and Gladys Leatherwood.
At his request there will be no services held.
