Charles E. Kovacs, 76, of Bethlehem, died Dec. 26, 2023. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Frank and Helen (Toth) Kovacs.

He was a shipper for 47 years at SureFit.

He played softball and bowled at the National Sokols. He was a devoted supporter of Lehigh University athletics and was dubbed “Mr. Lehigh.” He had a network of friends, including those from the Lehigh South Side Boosters.

He had a special bond with and is survived by his sister, Barbara A. Karabin.
