Central Moravian Church’s lead pastor, the Rt. Rev. C. Hopeton Clennon, has died according to a release Monday on the church website, Moravian.org.

According to the post, Rev. Clennon died Jan. 7 at noon surrounded by family members and faith leaders.

Rev. Clennon became lead pastor a Central Moravian in January 2013. He previously served Schoeneck Moravian Church in Upper Nazareth Township, churches in Washington and Los Angeles and as chaplain at Moravian College and Moravian Theological Seminary.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
