The Salisbury boys basketball team dropped both of its games last week. First came a 51-34 loss to Palmerton followed by a 53-48 loss at Southern Lehigh. The losses leave the Falcons at 1-2 in the Colonial League and 3-2 overall in the early going.
Against Palmerton, Tom Lovelidge scored 12 points to lead the Falcons with Brady Leiner and Jake Zellin both scoring seven points in the loss to the Bombers (4-0 Colonial, 4-1 overall). Palmerton’s Brayden Hosier scored a game-high 19 points with Matt Machalik scoring 15 points.
Statistics from the Southern Lehigh game were not received by the Press.
The schedule has road games at Moravian Academy (2-3, 3-4) and Northwestern Lehigh (2-0, 3-0) before the Falcons start their holiday break. After the new year, Salisbury will be facing Lehigh Valley Charter Academy followed by Colonial League home games against Northern Lehigh (0-4, 1-6) and Notre Dame of Green Pond (5-0, 7-0) in the first week of 2024.
