Liberty’s swim meet against Pottsville over the holiday break resulted in two wins for the Hurricanes as the girls team won, 98-53, and the boys team won, 101-70, versus the Tide.
In girls results for Liberty, Lilah McClarin, Leah Onia, Audrey Bloss-Ferry, and Sophia O’Hara opened the meet with a 2:03.92 win in the 200 medley relay.
McClarin then won the 200 freestyle in 2:30.18, and Katie Bruno placed first in the 200 IM in 2:35.08.
Gabriella Madeira won the diving event with a score of 197.20, and Eva Madeira came in second with a score of 170.05.
Chelsea Hearn sprinted to first place in the 100 free in 1:01.67, and in distance, Bloss-Ferry placed first in the 500 free in 6:15.39.
O’Hara, Bruno, Hearn, and Elle Surowiecki combined to win the 200 free relay in 1:53.49.
McClarin took first place in the 100 backstroke in 1:09.26, and Onia won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.78.
In boys results for Liberty, David Gabrielle, Malcolm Collins, Wade Wu, and Christian Hackett led off with a 200 medley relay win in 1:44.62.
Collins went on to win the 200 free in 1:50.84, and Hackett took first place in the 200 IM in 2:19.20 and in the 500 free in 5:43.33.
Zivon DeLosSantos placed first in diving with a score of 176.15.
Gabrielle was the 100 butterfly winner in 56.61 and also won the 100 backstroke in 59.44, while Collins took first in the 100 free in 49.59.
Collins, Logan Malozi, Wu, and Gabrielle combined to win the 200 free relay in 1:36.27.
Wu also won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.29.
