Sandra Eck, 78, of Emmaus, died at home, Dec. 27, 2023. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Beatrice A. (Althouse) Eck.
She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Allentown Business School and the Institute of Financial Education. Although most of her career was spent in various areas of the banking industry, she retired from the Northeast Pennsylvania Synod of the ELCA.
She was a lifetime and active member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville, where she served on numerous committees. She was a life member of the Society of Descendants of the Schwenkfeldian Exiles.
She cared for others and volunteered in several organizations in her community including the role of Girl Scout leader and secretary of the Union School & Church Association. She was a member of the Lehigh County American Bicentennial Committee.
She cared deeply for her family and everyone around her. She had a keen interest in genealogy, local history, loved to read and dabble in all sorts of crafts and needlework.
She is survived by her brother, Richard; sister, Virginia Letterhouse; sisters-in-law, Arlene, Renae, Anita; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Albert, William, Elwood, Dean.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 9 in the funeral home.
