Moore Township: Environmental protection board meeting scheduled for Jan. 8

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board’s next meeting is 7 p.m. Jan. 8 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

Consider joining this active board as it labors to preserve the township’s farms and rural character.

Moore Township Historical Commission’s next meeting will be held 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at the township municipal building.

The Moore Township Community Days committee’s next meeting is 6:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in the municipal building. The committee is planning the 2024 event.

The committee is seeking additional members. Visit mooretownship.org for information about joining the committee.

Moore Township Recreation Committee’s next meeting is planned for Jan. 18 at the recreation center, 635 English Road.

The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families. Consider supporting its important work.

Moore Township Board of Supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. Feb. 6 in the municipal building.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company. The night includes prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank, washline bingo and lots of fun.

Moore Township Police Department patrols Moore Township and Chapman Borough. The department was founded in 1952, and its current police chief is Gary West.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is winding down its historic 300th anniversary celebration in 2023. The 300th anniversary committee is grateful for another blessed year for the church.
