June L. Ruch, 91, of Emmaus, died peacefully Dec. 28, 2023, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Richard E. Ruch, with whom she shared 32 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Russel A. and Angie E. (Peters) Frantz.
She was a graduate of William Allen High School.
She was a member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus.
She spent most of her employment in the meat and deli department for A&P Markets, IGA Markets, Fenstermaker’s Market, eventually retiring after many years of employment with Shop-Rite Supermarkets.
She will be remembered for her resilience, love of family traditions, dedication to her children and generous spirit. She loved to cook and bake, a tradition she passed to her daughter.
Her favorite activities were roller-skating, an interest she first experienced as a young girl at Dorney Park’s Castle Gardens and embroidering tablecloths and bedspreads. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing in choirs, often with her sister, Ruth.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Robin Klobosits (Martin), of Emmaus; son, Douglas Hohe (Nadine), of Macungie; granddaughters, Lauren Letko, Devon Letko; stepson, Rickie (Lynette), of Vancouver, B.C.; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Knappenberger (Miles), of Lehighton. She was predeceased by sisters, Ruth Kriner, Betty Wieand; brother, Raymond Frantz.
