Herbert J. Bieber, 95, formerly of Wescosville, died Dec. 24, 2023, at Heather Glen Senior Living. He was the loving husband of Anna (Lenhart) Bieber for 69 years in August. Born in Wescosville, he was a son of the late Charles and Clara (Meitzler) Bieber.

He was a lineman and a service technician for Verizon for 36 years.

He was a member of the Trexlertown Grange and was the superintendent for the former Krocksville Sunday school for many years.

He was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield, where he served on church council for 12 years and many other committees.

He was a member of the Jordaniers Church Bowling League.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Carol Wendling (Roger), of Trexlertown; son, Dale; grandchildren, Tiffany and Justin; great-grandchildren, Bert Jr., Lucas, Derek; sister, Viletta Schantzenbach, of Limeport; nieces and nephews.
