STUDENT PROFILE

Grade: 12

Family: I live with my parents Danuta and Jeff Miner, my sister Natasha and my Chihuahua Adonis.

Favorite subject: My favorite subject is math because I enjoy problem-solving and thinking analytically.

Activities: I am involved in many activities at Notre Dame. I am a member of the student council, Key Club, yearbook club and track. I am also captain of the soccer team and Scholastic Scrimmage.

Next steps: I plan to attend a four-year college and run track there.

Career goals: I would like to acquire a job that I enjoy doing – one that is lucrative enough to support my future family and their dreams.

Heroes: My hero is myself 10 years from now. My future self is wiser, happier, stronger and more successful than I am now. Every day of my life my hero will always be 10 years away, and I will never be my hero. However, he gives me somebody perfect to keep chasing and striving to be like.

Hobbies: I enjoy many sports and physical activities like running, biking, walking my dog, soccer and tennis. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and meeting new people.

Current Job(s): I referee for the Blue Mountain Youth Soccer League.

Volunteer/community work: I help at my old grade school – Our Lady of Perpetual Help. I altar serve there and help with various custodial duties over the summer. This summer I also led an SAT Prep course for students worldwide.

Likes: My favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip. I like all Philadelphia sports teams, and my favorite color is green.

Dislikes: I dislike bugs, sugary candy and my alarm clock.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): The thing I am most proud of so far in my life is that I feel I have had an overall positive impact on others.

Advice for peers: One of my favorite quotes is, “Climb the mountain so that you can see the world, not so the world can see you.” I think this quote relates perfectly to us as teenagers because especially at this point in our lives, it is extremely easy to care about what everyone else thinks about us. Sometimes other people’s opinions or ideals can dictate how we live our lives if we let them. However, it is your life, and you can live it however you desire. I suggest finding what makes you happy and prioritizing your own happiness over the noise around you. As well as doing things for your benefit and happiness instead of doing what others think you should do
