The Lehigh Valley International Airport celebrated the 27th annual Holiday Festival of Trees from Dec. 4 through Jan 1. Sixteen local schools were invited to decorate a holiday tree representing their district, to be displayed on the airport’s second level before the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) section.
Press photos By Cassandra Dayoub Spring Garden ES: Presented by the Student Lighthouse Group, the tree was a spin on the Twelve Days of Christmas, showcasing the Twelve Days of Food with homemade food-related ornaments.
Miller Heights ES: Decorated by fellow elementary students, the tree displayed paper ornaments that had been hand-designed by the students.
Nitschmann MS: Students decorated a pin-wheel candy-themed tree coated from top to bottom.
Hanover ES: Student government members decorated a holiday tree themed with the “Gift of Kindness,” displaying handmade ornaments with encouraging words.
East Hills MS: East Hills displayed an art-themed holiday tree. Students hand-decorated each ornament, inspired by artists like Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
Governor Wolf ES: The hand-decorated tree displayed gingerbread men, large snowflake ornaments and penguins.
