Ott St. Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company firefighter Jerry Royer, who is the fire department's project manager for the new station, said “It's encouraging to reach this significant milestone in our project.” Construction of the new fire station, on the site of the original Swain Station, is expected to take about nine months.
