LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Lights shining bright at the zoo

By LOU WHEELAND

Special to The Press

With more than 1.2 million colorful lights, the Lehigh Valley Zoo was certainly a Winter Lights Spectacular destination for visitors from all over the region.

The entire zoo in Schnecksville was awash with lights, beginning in the parking lot.

Visitors arriving were treated to an overview of the lights as they crested the zoo access road.

The zoo was filled to capacity the evening of Dec. 15 with visitors from as far away as Bear Creek, Luzerne County, and Eastern New Jersey. The Winter Light Spectacular runs through Jan. 1, 2024.
