Coplay: New Year’s Eve celebration set

Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St., is planning its Silvester New Year’s Eve celebration for 3-7 p.m. Dec. 31.

The event will feature the Emil Schanta Band, a hot buffet meal, dancing and fun. It is open to members and guests.

There is a cost. Tickets include food, beer, wine, soda, water and juice.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is planning a chicken potpie pickup dinner for Jan. 13, 2024. The drive-thru pickup time frame is 4-5:30 p.m.

The menu includes chicken potpie, creamed cabbage or applesauce, roll and dessert.

American Club of Coplay, 300 Cherry St., will resume its hoagie sales Jan. 16-17, 2024.

St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St., is planning to hold its second annual Rock Out Mardi Gras celebration Jan. 27, 2024. The event will start 5 p.m.

The BYOB event will include a New Orleans-inspired menu, beads, masks and prizes, and there will be music until 10 p.m.

Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month.

If unable to attend the scheduled Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.

The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.
