Freedom snapped a three-game losing streak last week with a 57-51 win over Easton last Friday and hopefully it’s the spark the team needs heading into the holiday break.
The Patriots sit with a 3-4 record so far on the season, but there is optimism moving forward for the group despite their recent skid.
In a rough stretch against Parkland, Dallas and Pocono Mountain East, teams that are a combined 13-2, Freedom hung tough in arguably their toughest stretch of the season.
“We learned we can play with anyone,” said head coach Joe Stellato, “and it gave us confidence moving forward.”
Stellato wants that confidence to show this week with games against Northampton (4-1) and East Stroudsburg North (3-2) before they take time off for the holiday break.
Being able to stay on track around the .500 mark is big for the Pates, as they don’t want to have an uphill battle the rest of the season.
“Every game for us the entire year is big,” said Stellato. “We are the middle of the pack team fighting for a playoff berth. This means, every game is huge for us.”
