The Freedom Patriots won their first swim meet of the season against Dieruff when the Pates swept all but two of 24 events on Dec. 12 at Freedom.
Individual event winners for the Patriot girls were Alexia Ragab in the 200 free (2:23.58) and the 100 backstroke (1:13.78), Lily Campbell in the 200 IM (2:50.30) and the 500 free (7:14.31), Alivia Deemer in the 50 free (28.50) and the 100 free (1:00.82), Sofia Nabyt in the 100 butterfly (1:13.08), and Laney Stewart in the 100 breaststroke (1:26.17).
Ragab, Deemer, Nabyt, and Stewart combined to win the 200 medley relay (2:07.65); Nabyt, Stewart, Ragab, and Deemer took first place in the 200 free relay (1:54.97); and Kaylee Buglino, Campbell, Ella Lowe, and Chloe Levin won the 400 free relay (4:54.15).
Individual event winners for the Patriot boys were Griffin Kleinle in the 200 free (2:25.78) and the 500 free (6:41.85), Micah Lawser in the 100 fly (1:03.77) and the 100 back (1:13.42), and AJ Black in the 100 free (54.56) and the 100 breast (1:10.72).
Asa Lawser, Black, Micah Lawser, and Giovanni Camaione were 200 medley relay winners (1:57.76); Micah Lawser, Matthew Gould, Camaione, and Black won the 200 free relay (1:42.83), and Kleinie, Asa Lawser, Drew Harvey, and Adam Badawy won the 400 free relay (4:30.34).
The Patriot swimmers will ring in the new year with a meet against Whitehall on Jan. 3 at Freedom.
