For winter break, East Penn School District will follow a half-day schedule Dec. 21, followed by district closure Dec. 22 to Jan. 1, 2024. Students will return to school Jan. 2, 2024.

As the holidays approach, Emmaus High School will celebrate Pajama Day Dec. 20, followed by Reindeer Red Nose Day Dec. 21, 2024. All students are invited to participate with school-appropriate attire.

The EHS Art Department will host its second annual Art Career Day Dec. 21 in Cafeteria 1. While the event will run throughout the school day, students must fill out a Google Form, linked in the EHS Announcements website, to attend. For current EHS seniors, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form will open virtually Dec. 31. This form allows students to apply for need-based financial aid toward their postsecondary education. Beginning Jan. 2, 2024, late bus sign-ups will no longer occur in the main office. Instead, students must fill out a Google form, linked in their “Class of” Schoology page, on the day for which they require transportation. In the 2024-2025 school year, current freshmen with swim experience hold the option to take a lifeguarding course in place of standard aquatics. Lifeguarding is also offered as an elective to current sophomores or juniors. To apply for the course, all students must complete a prerequisite test, which includes a 300-yard swim in under 10 minutes, along with a hands-free tread for two minutes.
