Thirteen cheerleading squads competed in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Cheerleading Championships on Dec. 13 when Easton was crowned the EPC champion and Nazareth was the EPC runner-up at Easton Area Middle School.

Rounding out the top five were Northampton in third place, Parkland in fourth place, and Freedom in fifth place.

The overall time of each routine was 2:30 and included a cheer, which could be done over music.

Judges used the same scoring sheets as District XI and the PIAA.

Team medals were awarded to Easton and Nazareth, and the EPC championship trophy was awarded to Easton.

Bethlehem Catholic placed sixth, East Stroudsburg South was seventh, Stroudsburg came in eighth, and Whitehall placed ninth.

Emmaus finished in 10th place, Dieruff was 11th, Pleasant Valley came in 12th, and Pocono Mountain East placed 13th.
