Jingle Bell Run winners named

On Dec. 2, Whitehall Area Rotary Club welcomed runners and walkers of all ages to participate in the seventh annual Jingle Bell 8K run/5K walk.
In all, 154 individuals were registered for the run/walk portion of the event, which took place along the Ironton Rail Trail.
Post-race festivities were held at the American Club of Coplay pavilion. Highlights included food (hot dogs, soup bar, hot chocolate bar), kids’ activities, pet and child photos with Santa and a basket raffle.

More than $11,600 was raised through sponsorships, registrations, basket raffle and donations. Proceeds from this annual event benefit Whitehall Area Rotary Foundation and the ongoing community programs/projects of the Club, including support of local veterans’ organizations, food banks and youth initiatives.
Whitehall Area Rotary was chartered in 2017 in Whitehall. The mission of the club is to serve Whitehall and the surrounding community through volunteerism, fundraising and service projects.
