Hilda A. Koetting, 95, of Whitehall, died Dec. 11, 2023. She was the longtime companion of the late William “Whitey” L. Forney Jr.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Kroboth) Legath.

She was a 1946 Coplay High School graduate.

She was a quality assurance inspector for more than 42 years at Western Electric until she retired in 1991.

She was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church.

She was a past president of the Business Women’s Association. She attended Coplay Saengerbund.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Ann L. Sutton with husband Richard of Naples, Fla.; a brother, John F. Legath of Whitehall; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and extended family.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Hartsock; a brother, Frank and wife Jean Legath; and a sister-in-law, Claire E. Legath.
