The Macungie Minstrelaires and the instrumental ensemble from the Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Alburtis, provide music for the borough tree lighting ceremony Nov. 28. Official lighting of the holiday decorations was provided by Allen Crawford and the master of ceremonies was Macungie Mayor Ronald Conrad. Organizers thank area businesses including, Giant Food Stores, Weis Markets, QNB Bank and Embassy Bank. Thanks also to Macungie Borough Administrative Assistant Ashley Rinker, Macungie Borough Public Works, Town Beautification, Flower Park volunteers, Cadette Girl Scout Troop 6931 and Ron Beitler. Also thanks to the musical groups who performed at the ceremony.

Eli and Naomi Nanna share some time with the Grinch and Frosty the Snowman at the tree lighting event. The event also included a sing-along.

The tree glows and twinkles at the official start of the holiday season in Macungie.
