Northampton: Sponsors help buy gifts for children

Quota Club of Northampton thanks all the businesses and individuals for their support for Christmas gifts for kids. Quota was able to help 23 children in the Northampton area have a wonderful holiday. Food gift cards were also provided.

A special thank you goes out to many members of the community who supported this event in various ways.

Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., will be holding a Christmas storytime 1-2 p.m. Dec. 14. The event is recommended for ages up to 5, but all are welcome.

Registration is encouraged but not required.

The library will be closed Dec. 25 and 26 and Jan. 1-2, 2024.

The Northampton Borough municipal offices will be closed Dec. 25 and 26.

Residential trash, collected by Republic Services, will not be picked up Christmas Day. It will be one day late for the rest of the week.

Northampton Borough Fire Department is looking for qualified volunteers who are at least 14 years old. To find out if firefighting is for you, stop by the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive, anytime between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Mondays.
