Esther A. DeWalt, 79, of Catasauqua, died Dec. 5, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. She was the wife of Donald A. DeWalt for 58 years.

Born in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late James and Claudine (Leabold) Herman.

She was a 1962 Whitehall High School graduate.

She worked for Universal Pants, Northampton; Sears, Whitehall; and Thermal Fisher, Fogelsville.

She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Dawn Farber; a sister, Linda Hardy; two grandchildren, Michael A. Farber and girlfriend Ally and Samantha Furlong; a great-granddaughter, baby A; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, James Herman; a sister, Nancy Peters; and a stepbrother, Raymond Bowman.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
