Catasauqua: Biery House holiday shoppe open for final days — Dec. 15-17

Don’t miss your last chance to explore the Historic Catasauqua Preservation Association Biery House holiday shoppe in the historic site, 8 Race St. The shoppe is open 4-8 p.m. Dec. 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 16 and noon-4 p.m. Dec. 17.

Items and unique gifts from more than 45 crafters will be on display in the mule barn, summer kitchen and six rooms in the Biery House, all beautifully decorated in a Victorian theme.

Parking is located off Union Street in the Deily Coal Yard. From Race Street, turn onto Front Street and left on Union Street. From Pine Street, turn right on Front Street and right on Union Street.

HCPA is also looking for donations of baked goods. Email historiccatasauqua@gmail.com if you would like to contribute items for the bake sale.

The Friends of Catasauqua Parks will next meet 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at the municipal complex, 90 Bridge St.

The mission of the group is to improve the quality of life of Catasauqua residents through recreational fundraising events to sustain the parks. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month.

The group is always looking for new volunteers and members. There is no cost or dues to pay to join this group.

The borough will be holding the next Coffee with a Cop event 4:30-5:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at Blockers Coffeehouse, 309 Front St.

Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., will be holding Christmas Eve worship services 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 24.

Holy Trinity has also started up its Warm Up Wednesdays soup giveaway initiative 4-6 p.m. each week. Stop by for some free homemade soup.

This weekly event is open to the community of Catasauqua.
