EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmaus High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. Sarah (mom), Greg (dad), Kathryn (sister) and Evan (brother).

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is environmental science. I’ve had some great teachers and I grew up loving nature, so it’s been fun learning about the natural world in that interdisciplinary way from passionate people.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. No.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in this organization impacted your high school experience?

A. I am on the staff of The Stinger, the school’s student newspaper. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but a journalistic style was new to me. It forced me to work on my grammatical skills and concision, which I appreciate.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. Figuring out what I want to do after high school has been a challenge. There are a lot of options and it’s hard to decide which one is the best one when you don’t have a complete understanding of yourself or the world yet.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. I would like to attend college and pursue a degree in environmental science.

Q. Whom do you hope to emulate? Why?

A. My grandparents have a passion for knowledge I find really incredible. I would love to be a “lifelong learner” like them.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered for my dinosaur shoes. I’ve got two pairs and they’re pretty neat.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. No.
