Dec. 6
The Ancient Oak Women’s Organization will meet 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s UCC in Trexlertown. The group will hold its annual Christmas party and will welcome women of all ages in the area to join for fun, refreshments and fellowship. Bring a wrapped regift (something you already have) and play a fun gift stealing game. A voluntary cash donation will be collected to give to a needy family in the area to make their holidays brighter.
Dec. 7
Salisbury Middle School students will present a winter concert 7 p.m. in the school auditorium, 3301 Devonshire Road.
Dec. 9
Macungie Holiday will start 9 a.m. at various venues and businesses throughout the borough. Highlights include a scavenger hunt through the borough; a craft show at Macungie Memorial Park, Poplar Street; a gingerbread house display at Kalmbach Park, Cotton Street; visits with Santa at the Macungie Institute, surrey rides and more. Dec. 10
The Lower Macungie Historical Society will hold a holiday open house at the Bortz Log House, 5047 Hamilton Blvd., at the Wescosville Recreation Center 3-5 p.m. Luminaria will light the pathway. There will be a fire in the hearth, homemade cookies, tours and harp music. The museum will be closed for the event.
Dec. 14, 15
Salisbury Elementary School will host student winter concerts 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. each day.
Dec. 16
Eastern Salisbury Fire Department will hold its Santa Run. Follow their Facebook page for additional details as they become available.
The Lower Milford Township Fire Company will host a movie night 5-8 p.m. at the fire station, 1601 Limeport Pike, Coopersburg. The film “The Polar Express” will be featured. Other highlights include photos with Santa, games, hot chocolate and popcorn and hayrides, weather permitting. The screening will start promptly 6:30 p.m. There is a cost for tickets and proceeds benefit the fire company. Visit the website lowermilfordfire.org/polar-express-party/ to buy tickets.
The Lower Macungie Fire Department will hold its annual Santa Run in Alburtis and Lower Macungie Townshp starting 2 p.m. The rain date is Dec. 17. Routes and estimated times will be posted; check www.firestation30.org or Facebook for updates.
The Emmaus Historical Society, 218 Main St., Emmaus, will once again welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your children and grandchildren to replicate the yesteryear tradition of Emaus/Emmaus with an orange and a box of chocolates for the first 50 children. Bring a new scarf, hat, gloves or socks to donate for their “help those in need” holiday project.
Dec. 20
Join in the Christmas celebration with the Emmaus Historical Society for the annual covered dish party 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St. The society will provide the main dish. Guests are invited to bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert. Please call the museum with how many guests will be attending and what you may be adding to the potluck dinner. Put on your favorite Christmas sweater and let’s eat, drink and be merry.
