Jaindl Elementary honors veterans

Staff and teachers at Jaindl Elementary School, Upper Macungie Township, celebrated Veterans Day on Nov. 10 by inviting family members who are veterans or are serving on active duty to attend the program.

A breakfast was prepared by the school lunch staff followed by the program in the multipurpose room.

Twenty-eight veterans and one active-duty soldier attended.

Third grader Sophia Kannapel and guest Rand Frederick, resplendent in his Marine Corps dress blues, attended the Veterans Day ceremony at Jaindl Elementary.
Fifth grader Aria Williams brought dad, Raymon, a U.S. Navy Machinist Mate/Nuclear 1st Class to the Veterans Day ceremony at Jaindl Elementary School.
