Vendors galore at craft fair

Linda Mery, Northampton Exchange Club craft fair director, and her husband, Wayne, who is the president of the club, were beaming from the success of the annual craft fair, held Oct. 15 at Northampton Banquet and Event Center, 1601 Laubach Ave. Linda Mery said there were about 80 vendors at the fair.

Northampton Exchange Club has been serving Northampton since 1927. It sponsors numerous community service events, such as the Jack Frost parade and Northampton Community Days, and other projects, such as providing lights for the parkway system, flags flown on holidays in the borough, two craft shows and selecting the Northampton Area High School Student of the Month.

A parking attendant guided patrons to facilitate safe parking. Inside, the kitchen was open and doing a brisk business.

Goppa Tree Woodturning, a business in Bethlehem, showcased a wide array of wood-turning products. Greg and Noah Annicchiarico were delighted to show off their handmade wares. Asked what the name Goppa Tree meant, Greg Annicchiarico noted his father started the business and his nickname was Goppa. Visit goppatree.com or visit his Facebook page for more information.

Kristin Berke and Tiffany Ruby staffed their stand for their business With This Brush. They offered Halloween-themed items.

Many happy attendees saw interesting, diverse products for sale, had good food to eat and received a sense of connection at a fun social event.

Wayne Mery said the club is seeking members. Visit nationalexchangeclub.org or call the Northampton Borough office at 610-262-2576 to learn more.
