Thomas J. Kocis, 65, formerly of Allentown, died Nov. 28, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Sally A. (Wible) Kocis, who died in 2019. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Theresa A. (Bobowski) and the late Dr. Methodius J. Kocis.

He graduated from Emmaus High School, Class of 1976 and Moravian College. He started his career as an accountant at Red Hill Savings and Loan before working for the Resolution Trust Corporation under the Reagan administration and later the FDIC. He retired from Santander Bank as a senior controller after 20 years in 2019.

He is survived by his mother; sons, Jason (Julia), Justin (Cherise); grandchildren, Caleb, Harper; brothers, Joe (Barbara), Mark (Judy), Jon (Matt), James (Vicki); nephews and nieces, Scott, Kaitlyn, Ashton, Dillon, Jon; sisters-in-law, Susanne, Lisa; beloved grandpuppy, Bella.

Contributions may be made to Justin and Cherise Kocis for the purpose of establishing an educational fund for his grandchildren.
