Sheckler Elementary School’s annual giving tree has returned to help students and families in need. Take a tag from the tree in the front lobby and return the gift unwrapped to the main office by Dec. 11.

All gifts will go on to assist a Sheckler Elementary family in need.

Girl Scout troops will be hosting information sessions for those looking to participate. Visit Sheckler’s Facebook page for a QR code to scan with more information.

The remaining sessions will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1208 Brookside Road, Allentown, and 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Road, Orefield.

Third- and fourth-grade students will travel to the Weller Center for an assembly on cyberbullying Dec. 12.

The fourth-grade Christmas program is set for 7 p.m. Dec. 13.

The winter spirit week begins Dec. 15 and allows students to wear their favorite winter accessory, such as Santa hats, reindeer ears or fun socks, to name a few.

Pierogi orders can be picked up 3-3:45 p.m. and 6-6:45 p.m. Dec. 19 at Sheckler.
