Ryan A. Day

Ryan A. Day, 39, of Kempton, died suddenly on Nov. 26, 2023.

The loving husband of Shelbe L. (Eck) Day, the couple celebrated four years of marriage, and eight years together.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Sterling and Cynthia (Jesse) Day of Orefield.

For 21 years, he was a senior service technician for Long’s EcoWater Systems Inc., South Whitehall.

Words cannot describe how loving, funny, genuine and caring he was.

His ability to light up a room, get everyone laughing and crack a joke, even in a serious setting, was a true gift to everyone.

He wore many hats: husband, father, son, brother, friend, coworker - and he wore them all so perfectly.

He found peace and comfort in hunting, fishing and anything outdoors, and this is something he was raising his son to do, as well.

His greatest accomplishment and joy was the little family he started with his wife and son, Levi.

His face lit up whenever he spoke about them.

Spring and summers were spent teaching Levi to fish, and many mornings and afternoons were spent at Ranger Rod & Gun Club catching fish together.

He was such a proud daddy. Any month of the year, one could get in his truck and hear Christmas music playing, especially Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas.”

Christmas was his favorite time of the year, including both deer hunting and decorating, or doing Christmas activities

He will be greatly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him, and his memory will forever live on.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by son Levi Ryan Day, at home; brother, Joshua Day and wife, Stacey, of New Tripoli; and paternal grandmother Miriam Day of Kutztown.

A celebration of his life will take place at a later date
