Moore Township: Moore Township seeks to fill manager, treasurer positions

Moore Township is seeking new applicants to fill the township manager and treasurer positions.

Applicants should have municipal government or executive-level private sector experience, strong organizational and financial management skills. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and strong communication skills are required.

Moore Township Land and Environmental Protection Board’s next meeting is 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at the municipal building, 2491 Community Drive.

Consider joining this active board as it labors to preserve the township’s farms and rural character.

Moore Township Historical Commission’s next meeting will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the township municipal building.

The Moore Township Community Days committee’s next meeting is 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 in the municipal building. The committee is planning next year’s event.

Moore Township Board of Supervisors will next meet 6 p.m. Dec. 18 in the municipal building. This year-end meeting will be to pay the bills and discuss any other business that comes before the board.

The Moore Township Recreation Committee meeting, which was scheduled for Dec. 21, has been canceled.

The next meeting is planned for Jan. 18, 2024, at the recreation center, 635 English Road.

The committee’s goals are to assist township children and families. Consider supporting its important work.

Bingo is held 7 p.m. every Tuesday at Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Department, 2718 Mountain View Drive. The night includes prizes, progressive jackpot, rob the piggy bank, washline bingo and lots of fun.

Moore Township Police Department is collecting Toys For Tots. The donation box is in the police station’s foyer for residents to drop off new, unwrapped toys.

The department patrols Moore Township and Chapman Borough. The department was founded in 1952, and its current police chief is Gary West.
